Why Is Commitment Important?

My good friend, Payton Hill, helps explain why commitment is important.

Watch the video and have a discussion with your class or someone you know. Below, there are some suggested questions or writing prompts.

Being committed is being dedicated to a cause or even a person. You can also have a commitment to yourself. I like to say it this way,

"I choose to get a win."

Commitment is choosing to do something and then doing it or choosing not to do something and then not doing it. Either way, you get a win when you commit to follow through with your choices. Commitment impacts you and those around you.

My friend, Patyon Hill, helps explain the importance of commitment and how it has impacted his life.

QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION:

What do you think of the quote, “I choose to get a win”?

What would it mean in your life to “get a win”?

Are you committed to something? What is it and why are you committed to it? Why is it important to you?

Why is your commitment important for those around you? How does your commitment impact them?

How can you “respect the corners” in your life?

How can you commit to showing up in your life in a way that benefits you and those around you?
