Parents, I had to learn this lesson in my own parenting: more training and less complaining.

Our kids will not always like us or like our rules, but they will love us for protecting them.

There is ONE thing that is the most important thing you need to do as a parent. Yep! ONE thing.

Doing well is about learning, growing, and doing your best. We parents need to heed that advice as well. We need to do our best and give ourselves grace when it’s tough.

Positive parenting doesn’t mean perfect parenting. but thinking about what you want the long-term outcomes to be. When we react in negative ways to our kids, we may be right, but are our kids listening to us?

As parents, our words can bring life, but our words can also bring destruction. Are your words bringing life to your kids?

I have some advice for blended families. It can be tough, but put your kids first and do what is best for them.

Like a tree, kids need space to grow. Making mistakes and having responsibilities are a couple of ways that kids can grow.

Parents, do you have holes in your bucket? Are you feeling burned out or stressed? When I speak to people about this topic, I tell them to think about this: “If my output exceeds my input, my upkeep will be my downfall.”

We get so busy with life that we don’t take time to celebrate. Parents, I want to encourage you to be mindful and celebrate more. Take time to celebrate the wins in your life no matter how small.

Do you feel out of sorts or disconnected in your family? Take a step back, reset, and find out your values because your values matter.

Parenting is rewarding work, but it’s also really hard work. It’s frustrating and exhausting at times, but no matter what, don’t give up. Keep moving forward.

Parenting is hard and it can seem like everyone else is parenting better than we are. I want to assure you that there are no perfect parents. That’s a good thing because parenting isn’t about perfection.
