At the Choose Well Program we believe that investing in students begins with investing in educators. To us, educators are not just the teachers in the classroom, but every staff member who interacts with students: coaches, aides, counselors, janitors, administrators, bus drivers, etc.
Creating a Culture & Climate That Lasts
Our Professional Development program is designed to help staff think about the culture (who/what/why) and climate (how) of their school. Professional Development programs often work with teachers, administrators, and staff separately. However, this creates silos of information and support networks. We believe that developing a shared understanding of Who you are | What you do | Why you do it | & How you do it is essential to building a positive school culture that will last.
Supporting Educators as Individuals
Every year new regulations and standards put increasing pressure on schools, leading many educators to become disillusioned or burnt out (i.e. new testing standards, shifting regulations, budget constraints, etc.). Professional Development sessions provide schools with an opportunity to support, challenge, encourage, and care for the well-being of their staff as individuals. After our Professional Development sessions, your staff will leave refreshed, encouraged in their roles, and unified around a shared vision.

What does Professional Development Include?
Sessions are typically 60-90 min each. Purchase stand alone sessions, or schedule half, full, or multiple day trainings. Sessions and topics are customizable to each school’s needs and culture goals.

What does ‘customizable’ mean?
The Choose Well Program is not just another curriculum for schools to implement. We believe that the Choose Well Message - ‘When You Make Better Choices, You Will Live a Better Life,’ is compatible with whatever mission statement, values, and programs schools are already working with. Our services are not a replacement but meant to enhance the tools schools are already using.
