Classroom Visits

Fun, quick lessons to break up the day. Connect on a deeper level, and remind your students that living a better life begins with the choices they make in the classroom.

Connecting the dots.

Meeting Students At Their Level

Classroom visits are ideally used as a follow-up to the grade level/all-school assemblies. When students come to assemblies, they enter Mister Brown’s world. When Mister Brown visits the classroom, he enters the students’ world.

We have found classroom visits to be effective for several reasons:

  1. Allows for more Q&A with the students - deepening their learning and understanding.

  2. Great way for students to connect Mister Brown and the Choose Well message with what their teacher has been teaching all year.

  3. The smaller setting allows Mister Brown and teachers to get a better idea of what messages are connecting with students.

Reinforcing The Message

The benefit of classroom visits is that small groups are more realistic and manageable for deeper conversations. Mister Brown can visit multiple classes in one day, further reinforcing a positive message across the entire student body.

Classroom Visits Include…

  • Q&A Sessions

Having a Q&A time with students is a great way to gauge what concepts and lessons are connecting with them and what they are taking away. Much of the content that Mister Brown creates comes directly from questions that students have asked.

  • Topic Specific Lessons

Classroom visits can also be customized to each classroom. Depending on the age group of the students, and topics/issues of relevance, Mister Brown works with each teacher to determine what discussion topics would be most effective.

  • Age Appropriate Discussions

Each lesson and discussion is catered to students’ appropriate developmental age. Mister Brown presents the same message, but in a way that kids can understand at their level.

What Teachers Are Saying

  • “Mister Brown’s approach is unique in that he gets kids, he understands kids. That is his life, that is his passion. He knows how to make them laugh, how to get them quiet in an instant. How to help to understand his message and bring it down to a kid level. “

  • “I think every child needs to feel safe and needs to be honored and recognized. Mister Brown helps fill that need.”

FAQs

Can Classroom visits be done virtually?

Yes! Classroom visits can be held virtually or in person. In-person visits are typically used as a follow-up to a grade-level or all-school assembly. However, the beauty of the Choose Well Program is that services, both in-person and virtual can be catered to a school’s individual needs and goals.

How much does a single classroom visit cost?

There is not a set cost for classroom visits. Instead, when pricing we take into account each schools’ goals, needs, and other logistical factors (travel, etc). Rather than setting our services at a fixed price, we believe in starting a conversation first about what you value and how the Choose Well Program can best support you.

How do classroom visits work with partnership?

We see classroom visits as a way to follow up and reinforce the Choose Well Message. While classroom visits can be purchased as stand alone services, schools have found notable success when visits are used in conjunction with a Partnership. This allows students to hear the Choose Well message in various contexts and platforms, thus providing a positive message across their entire school experience.
